01Contact capture

Open Orbit Voice or Scan after you talk. Say what mattered, or point the camera at their card, badge, or QR. Orbit builds the contact, the transcript, and the summary, then saves them to tonight's event.

IN THE ROOM

Two ways in. One contact out.

Use your voice for the story. Use a scan for the printed facts. Use both when you can. Orbit merges them onto one person in the event you already created.

01

Open Voice or Scan

From the app, a Home Screen widget, or the Lock Screen. Record a short note, or frame their card, badge, or QR. Orbit starts reading as soon as it is in view.

02

Review what Orbit found

Check the name, role, company, and how to reach them. After a voice note, tap Scan card if you have one. Printed details win on fields you said wrong.

03

Save to the event

Confirm, then save. They land in tonight's room with the transcript and summary attached. Put the phone away and stay in the conversation.

In the app

What you can actually do.

  • Orbit Voice, up to one minute, plus 30 extra seconds if you missed a detail
  • Scan a paper card, event badge, or contact QR
  • After a voice note, scan their card. Printed details win on name, title, company, email, and phone
  • Save a new person, or add the note to someone you already have
  • Everything lands in the event you created before you arrived
  • Review and edit before it is saved to People
THE SMALL THINGS ADD UP

Cards become contacts

Name, role, company, email, and phone, ready for you to check before saving.

Voice keeps the story

What they care about, what you promised, and why to reconnect. A card alone cannot hold that.

You approve before it sticks

Edit fields, add a detail, then save. Nothing lands in People until you say so.

Capture without digging

Widgets and Lock Screen shortcuts open Scan or Orbit Voice in one tap when the room is busy.

Good questions.

A little more about Contact capture.

Does Orbit record my whole conversation?

Voice capture is a short note you choose to record, usually after you meet someone. It is not an always-on recorder. You decide what to capture.

How long can a voice note be?

Record up to one minute per note. After reviewing it, you can add another 30 seconds if you missed a detail.

What if I get a name or number wrong on the voice note?

On the review screen, tap Scan card. The printed card is the source of truth for name, title, company, email, and phone. Orbit updates those fields, then rewrites the summary and note so they match the card and the conversation.

Can I check a scanned card before saving?

Yes. Review the extracted details, correct anything that needs attention, then save the contact.

Can I reach Orbit from my iPhone Home Screen?

Yes. Home Screen widgets open Scan or Orbit Voice in one tap. On supported iPhones, the Lock Screen banner also puts those capture shortcuts within reach. Banner availability depends on your iOS version and settings.

For conversations

Be there for it. Let Orbit help you remember, follow through, and keep the relationship.
