Orbit
I built Orbit for myself
before anyone else.
I'm Mathew Alexander, the founder of Orbit. It started as a tool for the events I go to, because I kept losing the people I met. This is why it exists.

Mathew Alexander
I'm a founder and developer from Brisbane. I taught myself to build software at 16, studied Business and Finance at QUT, and have been shipping my own products ever since.
A lot of my work comes from people I meet in person, at events, meetups, and coffee catch-ups. That meant I was meeting plenty of people and remembering far fewer of them. Cards went into a pocket, names went into my phone with no context, and the Monday follow-up often never happened.
Orbit is the tool I wanted in those moments. I didn't set out to start a company. I built it for my own networking, used it at every event, and it quietly became the app I rely on most.
It started at events,
not in a pitch deck.

The problem I kept running into
After a good event I would leave with a pocket of cards and a head full of conversations. By the next morning half of it was gone: who said what, what I had offered, and who I should reach out to first.
- 02
So I built it for myself
I wanted to capture someone in seconds, with a card scan or a short voice note, and keep the conversation on their profile. I built exactly that, and started using it at every event I went to.

What changed
Every contact now comes with the context of our conversation, and Orbit keeps the follow-up in front of me until it is sent. It is like having someone hold me accountable, every time.
I haven't had to worry about following up, or about losing someone's details after a good conversation. Orbit has saved me hours, and it keeps me accountable.
For conversations
worth remembering.
Be there for it. Let Orbit help you remember, follow through, and keep the relationship.
